Jiří Kolář
Jiří Kolář (September 24, 1914 – August 11, 2002) was a Czech poet, writer, artist, translator, playwright, collage artist, and collector, known for his contributions to the visual arts. He was also a patron of the arts.
Biography
Jiří Kolář was born on September 24, 1914, in the town of Protivín. Throughout his life, he was engaged in poetry, writing, and creating artworks, including collages. Kolář also worked as a translator and playwright, actively participating in the visual arts as both an artist and graphic artist. In addition to his creative endeavors, he was a collector and patron, supporting various artistic projects. His cultural background included associations with Czechoslovakia, the Czech Republic, and France, reflecting the diversity of his national identity and influences.
