Ivan Stepanovich Marchuk was born on May 12, 1936, in the village of Moskalevka. He is a contemporary Ukrainian painter recognized at the national level. For his achievements in the field of art, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of Ukraine in 2002. In 1997, Marchuk was honored with the Taras Shevchenko National Prize, reflecting the high recognition of his contribution to the culture of Ukraine. In 2021, the artist was proclaimed a National Legend of Ukraine, confirming his significance and influence in Ukrainian art.
