Ivan Kirkov

Biography

Ivan Kirkov was born on January 1, 1932, in Asenovgrad, Bulgaria. Throughout his life and artistic career, he remained devoted to his hometown, where he passed away on September 19, 2010. Kirkov was a Bulgarian artist, graphic designer, and sculptor who worked in various genres of art. His creative repertoire included painting, easel graphics, posters, illustration, sculpture, mural painting, mosaics, and scenography. Through his multifaceted artistic approach, he was an avid experimenter during the latter half of the 20th century and the early 21st century.
