Ilya Iosifovich Kabakov was born on September 30, 1933, in the city of Dnipro. He became a prominent Soviet and American artist who significantly influenced Moscow Conceptualism. Kabakov's work integrates genres of abstraction and conceptual art. Over his lifetime, he worked in various visual art forms, including design, sculpture, collage, graphics, watercolor, caricature, photography, video art, and illustration. Additionally, Kabakov was a writer and an art figure, underscoring his multifaceted creative path.
