Ibrahim Hussein
Ibrahim Hussein (1936–2009) was a Malaysian expressionist painter, younger brother of Abdullah and Ismail Hussein. He is an important figure in Malaysian art, known for his contributions to the development of modern visual art in Malaysia.
Biography
Ibrahim Hussein was born on March 13, 1936, in Sungai Limau. He became a well-known Malaysian expressionist painter. Ibrahim was the younger brother of two other artists — Abdullah Hussein and Ismail Hussein, which indicates a creative environment in his family. Throughout his life and career, he was connected to Malaysia both by nationality and cultural affiliation. The artist's work influenced the development of modern visual arts in Malaysia. Ibrahim Hussein died on February 19, 2009, in Kuala Lumpur, leaving a significant legacy in his country and in Asian art.
