Huseyn Aliyev

Huseyn Aliyev (1911–1991) was a Soviet and Azerbaijani painter, part of the Aliyev family dynasty. Named People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR in 1982, he was known for his still lifes and worked in portrait, landscape, and graphic genres. Born in Tanaat, he died in Baku.

Biography

Huseyn Alirza ogly Aliyev was born on April 22, 1911, in the city of Tanaat. During his lifetime, he was recognized as a Soviet and Azerbaijani painter. His artistic work encompassed several genres, including still life, portrait, landscape, and graphic arts. In 1982, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR. Aliyev was a representative of the Aliyev dynasty. Over the course of his life, he lived in different historical states, including the Russian Empire, the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, and the USSR. He passed away on May 21, 1991, in Baku.
