Huang Binhong was born on January 27, 1865, in Jinhua. He had a multifaceted career as an artist, journalist, educator, and writer. Huang was the author of several books on art history. In painting, he specialized in the landscape genre. Throughout his life, he was connected with various cultural and national traditions, including the Qing Empire, the Republic of China, China, and the Republic of China (Taiwan). Huang Binhong passed away on March 25, 1955, in Hangzhou.
