Hooshang Seyhoun
Hooshang Seyhoun (1920–2014) was an Iranian architect, sculptor, painter, scholar, and professor. He studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and the University of Tehran. He created numerous monuments and over a thousand private villas.
Biography
Hooshang Seyhoun was born on August 22, 1920, in Tehran. He was an Iranian architect, sculptor, painter, scholar, and professor. Seyhoun studied fine arts at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and earned a degree in architecture from the University of Tehran. The artist left a significant architectural legacy, including numerous monuments and more than a thousand private villas. Among his notable works are the Mausoleum of Nader Shah, the Mausoleum of Avicenna, the Tomb of Ferdowsi, the Mausoleum of Omar Khayyam, the Asia Cinema in Tehran, and the tomb of Kamal-ol-Molk. Hooshang Seyhoun passed away on May 26, 2014, in Vancouver.
