Helen Frankenthaler
Helen Frankenthaler (1928–2011) was an American abstract artist of Jewish descent, associated with Abstract Expressionism and Color Field painting. Born in New York, she is known for her painting "Mountains and Sea" and also worked in printmaking and sculpture.

Helen Frankenthaler was born on December 12, 1928, in Manhattan, New York. She was an American abstract artist of Jewish descent. Frankenthaler was associated with movements such as Abstract Expressionism and Color Field painting. Among her notable works is the painting "Mountains and Sea." In addition to painting, Helen also engaged in printmaking, sculpture, and lithography, and worked as a draftsman. Her artistic activity was diverse, spanning various fields of art. Helen Frankenthaler passed away on December 27, 2011, in Darien, USA.
