Han Sai Por is a renowned Singaporean sculptor and artist, born on July 19, 1943, during the Japanese occupation of Singapore. She received a diverse artistic education, graduating from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), East Ham College of Art, Wolverhampton College of Art, and Lincoln University in New Zealand. After completing her studies, she began her career as an educator, working at NAFA, and later becoming a visiting lecturer at LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts and at the National Institute of Education at Nanyang Technological University. In 1997, Han Sai Por dedicated herself exclusively to creative work, becoming a professional sculptor. Her connection to Singapore is reflected in her cultural affiliation and place of birth, emphasizing her national identity and the artistic context of her works.
