Haegue Yang is a Korean sculptor and video artist, born on December 12, 1971, in Seoul, South Korea. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Seoul National University in 1994 and a master's degree from Städelschule. Yang lives and works in Berlin and Seoul, teaching fine arts at Städelschule.
Biography
Haegue Yang was born on December 12, 1971, in Seoul, South Korea. She is a Korean sculptor and video artist. In 1994, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Seoul National University. She then continued her studies at Städelschule, where she also earned a master's degree. Currently, Haegue Yang lives and works in both Berlin and Seoul. In addition to her artistic practice, she teaches fine arts at Städelschule as a professor. Her work focuses on sculpture and installations.
