Adolf Gustav Vigeland was born on April 11, 1869, in Halse og Harkmark, Norway. He became a well-known Norwegian sculptor and woodcarver. Vigeland is regarded as one of Norway's most productive sculptors. His creative activity was centered during the era of modernism. One of his most significant achievements is the creation of the Vigeland Sculpture Park in Oslo, which has become a notable symbol of the city. Gustav Vigeland lived and worked in Norway and died on March 12, 1943, in Oslo.
