Georgy Guryanov
Georgy Konstantinovich Guryanov (1961–2013) was a Soviet and Russian musician and artist from Saint Petersburg. From 1984 to 1990, he was the drummer and arranger for the band Kino and participated in the Pop Mechanics project. After 1990, he focused on his work as an artist.
Biography
Georgy Konstantinovich Guryanov was born on February 27, 1961, in Saint Petersburg. Between 1984 and 1990, he was the drummer, arranger, author of some bass parts, and backing vocalist for the rock band Kino. Besides this, he also took part in the musical project Pop Mechanics. In his musical career, Guryanov worked within the genres of new wave, Russian rock, and post-punk. After 1990, he concentrated on his work as an artist. In 1993, he became an honorary professor at the Saint Petersburg New Academy of Fine Arts. Georgy Konstantinovich represented the cultural scene of the USSR and Russia. He passed away on July 20, 2013, in Saint Petersburg.
