George Henry Ford

In 1837, Ford joined the British Museum, where he focused on depicting animals and producing illustrations. Among his notable contributions are the illustrations for Sir Andrew Smith's "Illustrations of the Zoology of South Africa," which represented a significant scientific contribution to zoolography at that time. Ford’s artistic career was connected to South Africa, reflecting his national affiliation with the region. He passed away in 1876 in London.
