Geliy Korzhev

Biography
Geliy Mikhailovich Korzhev was born on July 7, 1925, in Moscow. He was a Soviet and Russian painter recognized as an adherent of the 'severe style.' Korzhev was one of the primary Moscow artists of the post-Stalin era and made a significant contribution to the development of painting. Throughout his life, he was also engaged in teaching, educating new generations of artists. Korzhev carried out his work in the USSR and Russia, leaving a notable legacy in the culture of both countries. Geliy Mikhailovich died on August 27, 2012, in Moscow.
