Biography
Friedensreich Regentag Dunkelbunt Hundertwasser was an Austrian architect and painter born on December 15, 1928, in Vienna. His artistic activity was situated within the modern art movement. Besides architecture, Hundertwasser was also a painter, sculptor, stamp designer, draftsman, graphic artist, as well as an active environmentalist and ecologist. His national and cultural affiliation is linked to both Austria and New Zealand. Among Hundertwasser's most notable works are the Hundertwasser House and the Forest Spiral. He passed away on February 19, 2000, in Australia.
