Fedir Krychevsky

Biography

Fedir Hryhorovych Krychevsky was born on May 10, 1879, in the city of Lebedyn. He was a Ukrainian and Soviet painter whose creative and pedagogical activities spanned the transition from the Russian Empire to the Soviet era. In addition to his work as an artist, Krychevsky was engaged in teaching; he was a pedagogue and university instructor in the arts. Throughout his life, he made a significant contribution to the development of artistic education and culture. Krychevsky's life and work reflect the shift from the Russian Empire to Soviet times, which influenced his national and cultural identity. He passed away on July 30, 1947, in the city of Irpin.
