Federico del Campo (1837–1923) was a Peruvian artist born in Lima. He was active in Venice and became a leading painter of 19th-century vedute. His works were especially popular among English tourists.

Biography

Federico del Campo was born in 1837 in Lima. He was a Peruvian artist who throughout his career maintained a close connection with the Kingdom of Italy. Del Campo worked mainly in Venice, where he became one of the prominent representatives of the 19th-century vedute painting genre. The demand for his views was so high that he sometimes painted certain scenes multiple times to satisfy his clients, among whom English tourists stood out particularly. Federico del Campo died in 1923 in Venice.
