Fāṭimah Saʿīd al-Baqqālī was born on January 1, 1974, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She emerged as a notable figure in the visual arts, working as a calligrapher, decorator, and art professional. She was the first woman from the UAE and the entire Persian Gulf region to receive official certification in Turkey for three calligraphic scripts: Naskh, Thuluth Diwani, and Diwani Jali. Her professional work was closely connected with the culture and traditions of the United Arab Emirates. Fāṭimah al-Baqqālī passed away on March 27, 2024, leaving behind a significant legacy in the field of Arabic calligraphy and visual arts.
