Biography

Farida of Egypt was born on September 5, 1921, in Alexandria. She became Queen of Egypt through her marriage to King Farouk I and remained on the throne for an 11-year period. As the first wife of King Farouk I, she held a significant position in the Egyptian monarchy. Her Egyptian origins highlight her cultural and national ties to Egypt. In addition to her royal duties, Farida was also engaged in creative work as an artist. She passed away on October 16, 1988, in Cairo.
