Biography

Fahmi Reza was born in 1977 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is a Malaysian political graphic designer, street artist, satirist, cartoonist, and film director. Fahmi Reza gained recognition for his satirical depictions of Malaysian politicians. His most well-known work portrays the sixth Prime Minister of Malaysia, Najib Razak, as a clown, highlighting the corruption allegations against many politicians in the country. Following this work, Fahmi Reza was arrested multiple times. In addition to his work as an artist and satirist, he is also a film actor. His activities closely engage with the political and cultural context of Malaysia, addressing sharp social and political issues through art and documentary cinema.
