Ernő Rubik (born July 13, 1944, Budapest) is a Hungarian inventor, sculptor, and professor of architecture. He is best known for creating the Rubik's Cube (1974) and other three-dimensional puzzles and toys.

Ernő Rubik was born on July 13, 1944, in Budapest, Hungary. He is a Hungarian inventor, sculptor, and professor of architecture. Throughout his career, Rubik developed numerous three-dimensional puzzles and toys, the most famous being the Rubik's Cube, created in 1974. Besides the Rubik's Cube, his notable works include the Rubik's Revenge, Rubik's Domino, Rubik's Sphere, and Rubik's Snake. In addition to his inventions, he is engaged in architecture, university teaching, engineering, design, mathematics, and entrepreneurship. Rubik holds an important place in Hungarian culture and is recognized as a master in the fields of invention and sculptural art.
