Enrique Chagoya
Enrique Chagoya, born in 1953 in Mexico City, is a Mexican-American artist known for socially engaged art and contemporary practices. He is a printmaker, illustrator, and sculptor, and teaches at Stanford University.

Biography
Enrique Chagoya was born in 1953 in Mexico City. He is a Mexican-American artist working in socially engaged art and contemporary art genres. Chagoya is recognized as an artist, illustrator, arts practitioner, graphic artist, sculptor, etching master, and printmaker. The themes of his work relate to the changing nature of culture, often employing shocking images, irony, and Mesoamerican symbolism to convey his ideas. He teaches in the Department of Art & Art History at Stanford University. Currently, he resides in San Francisco, USA.
