Emvin Cremona

Biography

Emvin Vincent Cremona was born on 27 May 1919 in Valletta, which at the time was the capital of the Crown Colony of Malta. He was a Maltese artist, graphic designer, graphic artist, postage stamp designer, and monumental artist. Throughout his life, Cremona made significant contributions to the development of Maltese modernism and is considered one of its founders. His work has become a national heritage of 20th-century Malta and is a source of pride for the island's inhabitants. Emvin Vincent Cremona died on 29 January 1987 in his native city of Valletta, which had by then become the capital of the State of Malta. Throughout his life, his activity was closely connected with Malta and its culture.
