Emily Kame Kngwarreye (1914–1996) was an Australian artist and arts figure from the Utopia community in the Northern Territory. She was a prominent Aboriginal artist known nationally and internationally. She also worked as a textile artist.

Emily Kame Kngwarreye was born in 1914 in the Northern Territory of Australia and passed away on September 3, 1996, in Papunya. She belonged to the Indigenous peoples of Australia and was an Aboriginal woman from the Utopia community located in the Northern Territory. Throughout her life, Emily Kame Kngwarreye worked as an artist, arts figure, and textile artist. She is regarded as one of the most renowned and successful artists in the contemporary history of Indigenous Australian art. Moreover, she is among the few Australian Aboriginal artists whose work has gained significant recognition beyond Australia. Emily Kame Kngwarreye was actively engaged in the cultural life of Australia, representing the art of her people on the international stage.
