Biography

Elena Heinrichovna Guro, later Matyushina by marriage, was born on May 18, 1877, in Saint Petersburg. She was a Russian poet, prose writer, and artist associated with the cultural milieu of the Russian Empire. Guro combined literary skills and visual arts in her creative work, producing poetry, prose, and paintings. Her artistic contributions are recognized as significant to the early 20th century. Elena Heinrichovna's career spanned from the late 19th to the early 20th century, marking her as an important figure in Russian art and literature of that period. She died on April 23, 1913, in the locality of Polyany.
