El Lissitzky was born Lazar Markovich Lissitzky on November 10, 1890, in the town of Pochinok. Lissitzky worked as an artist, architect, graphic designer, typographer, photographer, sculptor, teacher, and art figure. His creative work was associated with the movements of constructivism and suprematism, reflecting the artistic trends of the early twentieth century. Lissitzky represented the cultural and national traditions of the Russian Empire, the USSR, and Russia. His life concluded on December 30, 1941, in Moscow.
