Effat Nagy (1905–1994) was an Egyptian artist born in Alexandria and passed away in Cairo. The Saad El-Khadem and Effat Nagy Museum in Cairo is dedicated to the works of her and her husband.
Biography
Effat Nagy was born on April 5, 1905, in Alexandria, which was then part of the Ottoman Empire. She was an Egyptian artist and a figure in the visual arts. Throughout her life, Effat Nagy made a significant contribution to the artistic culture of Egypt. She died on October 4, 1994, in Cairo. Presently, a museum in Cairo is dedicated to her and her husband's artwork. Known as the Saad El-Khadem and Effat Nagy Museum, it is devoted to the preservation and exhibition of their works. Effat Nagy remains an important figure in Egyptian visual arts, as reflected in records of her life and work.
