Edward Leedskalnin was born on January 12, 1887, in Stamere Parish, Latvia. He emigrated to the United States, where he became known as a self-taught sculptor and architect. In Florida, Leedskalnin single-handedly built a structure known as the Coral Castle. His work was characterized by unusual methods and included unconventional theories about magnetism. Edward Leedskalnin passed away on December 7, 1951, in Miami. His biography and creative legacy are connected both to Latvia and the United States.
