Eduard Isabekyan
Eduard Amayakovich Isabekyan (1914–2007) was a Soviet and Armenian painter, educator, and professor. He directed the National Gallery of Armenia from 1967 to 1987 and contributed to the cultural traditions of Armenia.

Biography
Eduard Amayakovich Isabekyan was born on November 8, 1914, in the city of Igdir, which at that time was part of the Russian Empire. Throughout his life, he belonged to several cultural environments—the Russian Empire, the USSR, and Armenia. Isabekyan was professionally engaged in painting and also actively worked in pedagogy, earning the title of professor. From 1967 to 1987, he served as the director of the National Gallery of Armenia, reflecting his significant contribution to the development of the country’s cultural life. Eduard Isabekyan passed away on August 17, 2007, in Yerevan.
