Biography

Dmitry Petrovich Buchkin was born on July 23, 1927, in Saint Petersburg. He became a notable Soviet painter and graphic artist working within the traditions of Realism. Buchkin was a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists, highlighting his active involvement in the professional artistic community. His entire life and creative work were closely connected to his native city—Saint Petersburg, where he lived and worked until his death on December 7, 2024.
