Dmitri Vladimirovich Vrubel (1960–2022) was a Russian and German artist and graffiti painter associated with socialist art. He is known for his graffiti “Lord, help me survive this deadly love,” a symbol of reunited Germany.
Biography
Dmitri Vladimirovich Vrubel was born on July 14, 1960, in Moscow. He was a Russian and German artist as well as a graffiti painter associated with the socialist art style. He became best known for his graffiti “Lord, help me survive this deadly love,” which became one of the symbols of reunited Germany. From 2010, Vrubel lived permanently in Berlin, where he continued his creative work. Throughout his life, he represented the cultural and national connections between the USSR, Russia, and Germany. Dmitri Vrubel passed away on August 13, 2022, in Berlin.
