David Koloane

David Nthubu Koloane was a South African artist, curator, art figure, and art historian, born on June 5, 1938, in Alexandra. In his work, Koloane extensively used drawings, paintings, and collages to express issues of political injustice and human rights. His artworks became an important part of South African artistic culture during the apartheid years. The artist passed away on June 30, 2019, in Johannesburg.
