Danarto
Danarto (June 27, 1941 – April 11, 2018) was an Indonesian writer known for his short stories. He was an ASEAN literary award laureate. Danarto also worked as a cinematographer, artist, and university lecturer.

Danarto was born on June 27, 1941, in Central Java, Indonesia. Throughout his life, he pursued several creative professions: he was a writer, cinematographer, artist, and university lecturer. He gained the most recognition as a writer, becoming known for his short stories. For his contributions to literature, he received the ASEAN Literary Award. Danarto lived a long life and passed away on April 11, 2018, in Jakarta. His artistic work and cultural identity are linked to Indonesia.
