Dan Flavin was born on April 1, 1933, in Queens, USA. He was an American artist, sculptor, and representative of minimalism, known for his works in light art and installation art. Flavin created sculptural objects and installations using fluorescent lamps, making him a notable figure in contemporary art. Additionally, he worked as a graphic artist, installation artist, draftsman, architect, and architectural renderer, as well as an art practitioner and critic. He was part of the cultural environment of the United States. Dan Flavin passed away on November 29, 1996, in Riverhead.
