Christian Krohg
Christian Krohg (1852–1925) was a Norwegian painter, writer, journalist, professor, and art figure. A leading representative of Norwegian realism, he is known for his portraits and works such as Albertine in the Police Doctor's Waiting Room.
Biography
Christian Krohg was born on August 13, 1852, in Vestre Aker, Norway. He was a prominent Norwegian painter, writer, journalist, professor, and art figure. Krohg is considered one of the major representatives of realism in Norway. His creative legacy includes numerous works in the portrait genre, as well as significant pieces such as "Albertine i politilægens venteværelse" (Albertine in the Police Doctor's Waiting Room), "The Struggle for Existence. Study," and "Man Overboard." Krohg spent most of his life in Norway and passed away in Oslo on October 16, 1925.
