Chng Seok Tin (1946–2019) was a Singaporean printmaker, sculptor, and writer. Despite being visually impaired, she created works inspired by the I Ching and Buddhism, exhibited extensively, and published 11 literary collections.

Biography

Chng Seok Tin was born on October 6, 1946, in the Katong district of Singapore. She was a printmaker, sculptor, and writer. Despite being visually impaired, she actively engaged in creative work across multiple genres. Her art was often inspired by the ancient Chinese philosophical text, the I Ching, and by Buddhism. Throughout her artistic career, Chng Seok Tin held over 26 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 100 group exhibitions. In addition to her visual art, she published 11 literary collections, primarily in the Chinese language. She was also an advocate for artists with disabilities. Chng Seok Tin passed away on September 6, 2019, in Singapore.
