Boworadet

Boworadet (b. April 2, 1877, Phra Nakhon, Thailand – d. November 16, 1953) was a Thai officer, artist, general, and royal family member. In 1933 he led an unsuccessful rebellion and lived in Cambodia until 1948 before returning to Thailand.

Biography

Boworadet was born on April 2, 1877, in Phra Nakhon, Thailand. He was an officer, artist, general, and a member of the royal family. In 1933, Boworadet led an attempted coup d'état which ended in failure. Following the defeat of this rebellious action, he went into exile in Cambodia, where he lived until 1948. Afterward, he returned to Thailand and spent the remainder of his life there. Boworadet's activities encompassed military, governmental, and cultural spheres. He died on November 16, 1953.
