Bolesław Rusiecki
Bolesław Rusiecki (1824–1913) was a Polish-Lithuanian painter and collector, known for his portrait work. Son of the noted artist Kanut Rusiecki, he was connected to Lithuanian cultural circles and lived a long life contributing to Lithuanian art.
Biography
Bolesław Rusiecki was born on November 23, 1824, in Rome. He was a Polish-Lithuanian painter and collector, and the son of the well-known artist Kanut Rusiecki. Bolesław Rusiecki primarily worked in the portrait genre. His creative activity was closely linked with the cultural environment of Lithuania. Throughout his life, Rusiecki contributed to the development of Lithuanian art, continuing the traditions established by his father. He lived a long life and passed away on January 31, 1913, in Vilnius.
