Bettina Scholl-Sabbatini
Bettina Scholl-Sabbatini (born December 19, 1942, in Esch-sur-Alzette) is a Luxembourg sculptor, painter, and ceramicist. She served as vice president of Soroptimist International Europa from 2003 to 2005 and coordinated post-genocide projects in Rwanda, which also inspired her artwork.
Biography
Bettina Scholl-Sabbatini was born on December 19, 1942, in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg. She is a Luxembourgish sculptor, painter, and ceramicist. Between 2003 and 2005, Bettina Scholl-Sabbatini served as vice president of Soroptimist International Europa. Through her work with this organization, she established close connections with Rwanda, where she coordinated development projects aimed at aid and reconstruction following the Tutsi genocide. These visits to Rwanda also inspired her artistic creations. Bettina Scholl-Sabbatini's works were exhibited at the 2010 Venice Architecture Biennale as part of the Rwandan exposition.
