Beatriz González
Beatriz González (1932–2026) was a Colombian artist, sculptor, critic, curator, and art historian. Born in Bucaramanga and died in Bogotá, she was closely associated with pop art and known for her vivid paintings reflecting Colombian life during La Violencia.

Beatriz González was born on November 16, 1932, in Bucaramanga, Colombia. She was a renowned Colombian artist, sculptor, printmaker, art critic, curator, and art historian. Throughout her life, González played an active role in the development of the pop art movement in Colombia. Her work became known for vivid and colorful paintings that captured the life and social atmosphere of Colombia during the violent period known as La Violencia. Beatriz González died on January 9, 2026, in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia.
