Aya Tarek

Biography

Aya Tarek was born on November 14, 1990, in Alexandria, Egypt. She is an artist working primarily in street art and graffiti. Although street art in Egypt saw significant development after the 2011 Revolution, Aya Tarek's works appeared on the streets of Alexandria as early as 2008, when she was only 18 years old. In addition to outdoor murals, she creates murals indoors as well, which she believes helps her to be taken seriously as an artist. At the same time, Aya Tarek continues to emphasize the importance of making street art accessible to everyone without exception.
