Arturo García Bustos was born on August 8, 1926, in Mexico City, Mexico. He was a distinguished painter, printmaker, sculptor, and art figure. García Bustos is recognized as one of "Los Fridos," the group of students of Frida Kahlo, having studied with her in her home in Coyoacán. Throughout his life, he maintained a close connection with Mexican culture and the art of the second half of the 20th century. He worked in various artistic techniques, including painting and printmaking. His work reflects the characteristics of Mexican artistic heritage. Arturo García Bustos lived his entire life in Mexico City, where he passed away on April 7, 2017.
