Arpád Račko
Arpád Račko (July 17, 1930 – January 2, 2015) was a Slovak sculptor recognized as a National Artist of Czechoslovakia in 1988. He worked primarily in Czechoslovakia and Slovakia, contributing significantly to the cultural heritage of these countries.
Biography
Arpád Račko was a Slovak sculptor born on July 17, 1930, in the city of Solnok. Throughout his life and artistic career, he was closely associated with Czechoslovakia and Slovakia, which shaped his cultural identity and artistic influences. In 1988, Arpád Račko was honored with the title of National Artist of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, recognizing his significant contributions to the development of art in the country. He lived and worked until the end of his life, passing away on January 2, 2015, in the city of Košice. Račko's body of work holds an important place in the history of Slovak sculpture and reflects the artistic traditions of Czechoslovakia and Slovakia.
