Ariadna Efron

Biography

Ariadna Sergeyevna Efron was born on September 5, 1912, in Moscow, then part of the Russian Empire. She was the daughter of Sergey Efron and the poet Marina Tsvetaeva. Throughout her life, Efron was active in various artistic and literary fields, distinguishing herself as a translator of prose and poetry, memoirist, artist, art scholar, and poet. She worked within the Soviet Union, where she lived and created the majority of her works. Ariadna Sergeyevna passed away on July 26, 1975, in Tarusa. Her career spanned an important cultural period in which she made contributions to the translation and artistic traditions of her time.
