Ari Mikael Behn, born Bjørshol on September 30, 1972, in Aarhus, Danish Kingdom, was a Norwegian writer, short story author, artist, director, actor, and cultural figure. He became known through his 1999 collection of short stories titled "Sad as Hell" (original title "Trist som faen"), which brought him literary success. In his personal life, Ari Behn was the first husband of Princess Märtha Louise, the eldest daughter of King Harald V of Norway. They had three daughters together—Maud Angelica, Leah Isadora, and Emma Tallulah—who have rights to the Norwegian crown. Ari Behn passed away on December 25, 2019, in Lommedalen, Norway. His cultural and national ties were closely linked to both Norway and the Danish Kingdom, reflecting in his creative legacy.
