Anton Agius (December 1933, Rabat – 2008, Msida) was a Maltese sculptor known for creating numerous monuments across Malta. Former President Ugo Mifsud Bonnici honored him with the title “national sculptor.”

Biography
Anton Agius was born in December 1933 in Rabat, Malta. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to sculpture, creating a significant number of monuments distributed throughout the island. His contribution to Maltese art received high recognition, and former President Ugo Mifsud Bonnici bestowed upon him the honorary title of “national sculptor.” Anton Agius passed away in 2008 in the city of Msida. His artistic legacy remains an important part of Maltese cultural history.
