Anna Daučíková
Anna Daučíková is a Slovak artist, photographer, glass artist, jeweler, and video artist born in 1950 in Bratislava. She taught at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava from 1999 to 2011 and currently works at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.
Biography
Anna Daučíková was born in 1950 in Bratislava, Slovakia. She is a multidisciplinary artist working as a photographer, glass artist, jeweler, and video artist. From 1999 to 2011, Daučíková taught at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. She currently works at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Daučíková is one of the first Slovak artists to openly declare her queer identity and engages with feminist issues. Her practice is connected to both the artistic and activist fields, and she lives and works between Prague and Bratislava.
