Anna Bella Geiger

Biography

Anna Bella Geiger was born in 1933 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, into a Polish-Jewish family. Throughout her career, she has worked in a wide range of artistic disciplines, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, and video art. In addition to her creative practice, Geiger is an educator and serves as a professor at the Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage. Her work is represented in galleries and private collections across the United States, China, Brazil, and Europe, reflecting the international presence and recognition of her art.
