Anna Ancher was born on August 18, 1859, in Skagen, located in the Kingdom of Denmark. She dedicated her life to art, working as a painter and an active figure in the arts. Anna Ancher was a representative of Impressionism, specializing in portraiture. Throughout her career, she created several notable works, including "A Field Sermon," "A Funeral," "Solskin i den blå stue," "Høstarbejdere," "Michael Ancher Painting on the Shore," and "The Maid in the Kitchen." She was married to the artist Michael Ancher. Anna Ancher passed away on April 15, 1935, in Skagen, the city of her birth.
